In a bid to keep cash-strapped St. Vincent's Hospital running through the end of the month, Gov. Paterson and the Greenwich Village medical center's creditors yesterday agreed to provide $6 million in emergency funding to keep the doors open.

But Paterson said management and unions will have to agree to a massive restructuring for St. Vincent's -- which is losing $5 million to $10 million a month -- to survive.

Sources told The Post that St. Vincent's would have to shrink to 150 beds from the current 440.

Paterson said "shared sacrifices" from all parties are now required to make St. Vincent's financially viable in the future.

State officials have expressed frustration that the unions, in particular, have not agreed to concessions, given the hospital's dire straits, sources said.
